Dumplings (for Chicken and Dumplings)
Ingredients1 package Namaste Foods Sugar-free Muffin Mix
½ cup oil
½ cup water
½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
2 tsp. fresh chopped parsley
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- After preparing your favorite recipe for Chicken and Dumplings, spoon the dumpling mixture on top of the liquid, using enough spoonfuls to nearly cover the top of the pot. (Remember, the dumplings will nearly double in size). Cover the pot with a lid and continue to simmer for 7-10 minutes until dumplings are steamed through. Serve immediately.
- You can add your favorite herb instead of, or in addition to parsley if you like. Marjoram, thyme, dill and rosemary would all be quite nice.
