Turkey Stuffing

Ingredients

1 package Namaste Bread, prepared as directed and completely cooled
2 teaspoons oil or butter
2 stalks celery, diced
1 tablespoon dry sage
2 teaspoons thyme
2½ - 3½ cups low sodium chicken

Directions

  1. Cut the cooled, prepared bread into ½ - 1 inch cubes. Preheat oven to 375° F. Spread bread cubes onto a cookie sheet and toast in oven for 20-30 minutes until dried and light brown. Cool bread cubes completely.
  2. Heat oil in skillet and sauté onion, celery, sage and thyme until soft but not brown, about 10-12 minutes. In a large bowl, toss together bread cubes, vegetables and 2 cups broth. (Add apple, sausage or nuts now if preferred). Add more broth as needed, so the bread becomes soft, but not soupy. Season with salt and pepper. Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick vegetable spray and fill pan with stuffing. Bake in 400° F oven for 30-40 minutes or until hot and brown on top. Serve hot.
